200,000 Syrians in Lebanon make it home in 2 years

(MENAFN) Within a two-year period, 200,000 Syrians taking refuge in Lebanon made their way back home, announced the Lebanese General Security.

Lebanon's General Security coordinated the repatriation of Syrians in cooperation with Syrian authorities.

Despite the process of repatriation accelerating last year, it recently witnessed a slow pace as a result of the holy month of Ramadan.

Repatriation is expected to pick up its pace during the summer season, as Asharq Al-Awsat was informed by sources in the General Security.
