Tunisian, French forces conduct joint naval drills
(MENAFN) The Tunisian and French naval forces concluded a joint military drill off Bizerte coast in northeastern Tunisia, the defense ministry emphasized on Thursday.
According to a ministry statement, the joint drill was held from April 25 to May 1, with the contribution of the naval diving squads from the two countries, the French ship "Pluton" and a Tunisian diving boat.
It affirmed, "This exercise aims to improve military diving know-how and share experiences between both countries' navies".
The Tunisian navy is ongoing to strengthen its military drills with several partner nations, the last of which was with the United States Navy.
