Qatar- Commercial Bank wins 'Asian Banker Financial Technology Innovation Award'
(MENAFN- Gulf Times) Commercial Bank has won the ‘Asian Banker Financial Technology Innovation Award 2019', for remittance product and service of the year.
The ‘60 Seconds Online Remittance' service from Commercial Bank fended off competition from other banks, financial institutions and financial technology startups across Asia, Africa and the Middle East to win this prestigious award.
The award, Commercial Bank said, reflects its state-of-the-art products and services. With this service, customers can send money almost instantly, to banks in several countries, including India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Nepal, the Philippines and also the UK and Europe, with more countries being added.
Commercial Bank Group CEO Joseph Abraham said, 'Receiving this prestigious award reflects the strength of our remittance proposition and demonstrates that in Qatar we can develop truly world-beating client solutions and products using innovative technology.
'The Bank continues to invest in innovative technology to provide the best customer experience, said Amit Sah, executive general manager (Consumer Banking) said.
'At Commercial Bank, we deploy technology to create client-focused products and services. We are conscious our customers want fair prices, great exchange rates, fast execution and exceptional service. This product repeatedly achieves all of these factors and helps them avoid the pain points historically attached to remitting money overseas, Sah said.
