Kuwait- Qualitynet to provide Iraq with Internet

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, April 28 (KUNA) -- Qualitynet, the leading provider of Internet, ICT & Data Communication Services in Kuwait, has won the license to provide Internet, telecommunications and satellite services in Iraq.
Qualitynet has thus become the first Kuwaiti telecommunications service provider to win a service license after a strong competition with a number of Iraqi and international companies.
CEO of Qualitynet Mohammad Nizar Al-Nusif said: "We are proud that Qualitynet has won the license to provide Internet & Information Communication Services in the Republic of Iraq, as the first Kuwaiti telecommunications service provider competing to provide these services throughout Iraq to the north, with the license of the southern gate of Iraq in connection with Kuwait." Al-Nusif explained that, under this license, Qualitynet is entitled to provide all telecommunications services from networking to Internet for institutional and individual sectors.
He pointed out that the strategic location of the State of Kuwait in the northern Arabian Gulf was a key factor to stimulate the company into entering the Iraqi market, as well as how it would contribute to strengthening the alternative routes supporting its services provided in the State of Kuwait.
He added this reflects positively on the strength of the network connection across the northern path from Iraq, to support the southern gate (Safwan/Zubair) to Iraq.
Al-Nusif pointed out that Qualitynet is considered among the first companies to invest in the reconstruction of Iraq, based on positive insights and enthusiasm in contributing towards the reconstruction process.
He added that his company's experts are currently working on deploying the network and infrastructure to provide services to its customer base across Iraq, and to provide the network with Point-of-Presence devices through Qualitynet Iraq, for which it was officially established.
