(MENAFN) Members of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) registered a 39 percent boost in the number of merger and acquisition deals (M&As) achieved from January to March 2019.

Kuwait Financial Center (MARKAZ) revealed that during the first quarter, Saudi Arabia climbed to become the highest GCC nation to seal M&As.

In a report, MARKAZ confirmed that the Kuwait Finance House (KFH) granted in January its preliminary acceptance of the average of stock exchange with AUB Bahrain.

It further added that Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank (ADCB) saw its general assembly in March pass its merger with Union National Bank (UNB).
