Tunisia: landmine explosion injures 4 in Gafsa

(MENAFN) The Tunisian government stated that a landmine blast injured four civilians in Orbata mountain in Tunisia's southwestern province of Gafsa on Saturday.

"All the wounded were evacuated by helicopter to the Gafsa Regional Hospital for treatment," emphasized Houssem Jbabli, spokesperson of the National Guard, during a press briefing.

He added, "One of them was seriously injured".

According to Jbabli, security forces and civilians in Tunisia have been hit by attacks, landmine explosions and ambushes for years.
