Air raids kill 7 militants in S. Afghanistan's Uruzgan province

A total of seven militants have been confirmed dead as military aircraft struck Taliban hideouts in Afghanistan's southern Uruzgan province on Saturday, an army statement said on Sunday, Trend reported citing Xinhua.

The sorties, according to the statement, were conducted Saturday afternoon in Mehrabad Dara locality, outside provincial capital Tirin Kot, killing seven militants on the spot and injuring several others.

Four motorbikes of the insurgents were also been destroyed, the statement said.

Taliban militants haven't commented yet.
