Turkish minister says Greece breaches int'l law
(MENAFN) Turkish National Defense Minister Hulusi Akar accused on Saturday Greece of breaching the international law in providing Aegean islands with weapons.
Greece's defense minister ought to implement needed measures in the matter, the Turkish minister stressed after a meeting.
According to the minister, "Greece violates international law, treaties by arming Aegean islands," which are under demilitarized state.
Akar affirmed that Athens "should end its violations that are contrary to treaties and incompatible with friendship and good neighborly relations."
He further added that "the demilitarized status of these islands should be protected and continued."
