Egypt, Greece, Cyprus navies commence drills


(MENAFN) Egypt, Greece and Cyprus commenced joint drills on Monday with the participation of their naval forces.

In a statement, Egyptian armed forces announced the drills to have been launched at a military base located in Alexandria in the Mediterranean.

Armed forces spokesperson Tamer al-Refai confirmed that the joint exercise will be conducted over a number of days.

Medusa-8, according to the spokesperson, is looking to "boost military cooperation among the three countries."
