Schools, colleges in Oman to remain closed on April 14

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- All schools and colleges will remain closed on Sunday (April 14) in all governorates of Oman except Al Wusta and Dhofar, and resume on Monday (April 15) due to the prevailing weather conditions.

The ministries of Education and Higher Education announced on Saturday that all private and government schools and colleges will be closed due to the inclement weather conditions expected in the next 24 hours.

The decision was taken after warnings were issued by the Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) that the weather may take a turn for the worse in the next 24 hours.

The Sultan Qaboos University, Sohar and Nizwa universities and all Colleges of Applied Sciences will be closed on Sunday. The decision applies to Colleges of Applied Sciences and Rustaq College of Education. "In order to ensure the safety of our students, the ministry announces the suspension of classes tomorrow Sunday, April 14, 2019, for students in all colleges of applied science and the College Education in Rustaq, with the exception of Salalah college. The study in colleges will resume from Monday (April 15).'
