Lebanon, Cyprus join hands in oil, gas sector

(MENAFN) Lebanon is joining hands with Cyprus in expanding their oil and gas activities within new markets, affirmed Minister of Energy, Tourism and Commerce Georgios Lakkotrypis.
Revealing the news in Beirut, the minister said "we have agreed with Lebanon to cooperate in finding export markets for our oil and gas produce in addition to implementing a project for creating a gas pipeline between Lebanon and Cyprus."
This comes during talks held between Lebanon and a Cyprus delegation to explore means to cooperate in oil and gas.
Cyprus and Lebanon, Lebanese energy Minister Nada Boustani confirmed, decided to collaborate in infrastructure initiatives connected to natural gas transport.
