Qatar's QNB net income jumps 4 percent

(MENAFN) Qatar National Bank (QNB) recorded a 4 percent boost in its net income from January to March 2019, standing at USD0.98 billion.

Total assets for the prominent Qatari commercial bank registered a 6 percent jump during the first three months of this year to reach USD242 billion.

Figures and hikes have been posted in QNB regardless of a negative effect witnessed due to the devaluation of the Turkish currency.

QNB increases were mostly attributed to loans and advances, which surged 5 percent to hit USD171 billion during the first quarter of this year.
