Tunisia: bus accident kills 5, wounds 24 in Gabes
(MENAFN) On Sunday, as many as five people were murdered and 24 more wounded when a passenger bus overturned in southeastern Tunisia, according to a statement by the Tunisian Health Ministry.
It added, "The injured, including seven in critical condition, were transported to the Gabes, Matmata and Medenine hospitals for medical care".
The accident occurred in Gabes province when a bus rolled down a mountain almost 25 meters downward.
Gabes Governor Monji Thamer stated, "Speeding seems to be the cause of this accident".
