Three Afghan civilians die in double blasts


(MENAFN) A local official declared that over three civilians, with a woman among the, have died as 19 more were injured in double explosions in eastern Afghan city of Jalalabad on Saturday.

Ataullah Khogyani, provincial government spokesman confirmed that the explosions took place at 10 a.m. local time in the Police District 4 of the city, where two Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs) were detonated killing three civilians, including a woman, aged 22, and wounding 19 more.

The spokesman added that the wounded included 2 kids and four women, and were taken to a government-run regional hospital, where two of whom admitted in severe state.

Jalalabad city, which is provincial capital of eastern Nangarhar province, is prone to bomb explosions since early last year.
