The awards program, running 5 to 7 p.m. at Zappos, 400 Stewart Ave., will take a "what they will see, they will be" approach to highlighting and promoting top talent and amplifying the impact of women and girls across Technology industries.

Besides honoring influential women, the LV Techie Awards will honor male allies and corporations devoted to spurring diversity in technology careers. The Aspiration Awards, meanwhile, will recognize girls in middle school and high school who aspire to careers in computing and technology.

"We are excited to have the Aspiration Awards and LV Techie Awards together," said Sonia Petkewich of the Las Vegas affiliate of the National Center for Women & Information Technology, a nonprofit group. "By combining the two award shows, young girls and women can see professional women earning accolades for their hard work in their careers and contribution in the tech community."

Awards program sponsors include Zappos (venue sponsor), Nutanix and Taurean Consulting Group (title sponsors), SIM of Las Vegas (Inspiration Awards and partner sponsor), Trend Micro, Technologent and Healliam (partner sponsors), Troxell, Discovery Education, Lego Education, National Geographic Learning, Cengage Learning and Extreme (advocate sponsors).
