Turkish forces arrest over 290 illegal migrants from several nationalities
(MENAFN) On Tuesday, as many as 293 illegal migrants were detained across Turkey, according to several security sources.
In northwestern Canakkale province, 46 migrants were rounded up by gendarmerie forces. All of them were transferred to provincial migration offices.
176 more illegal migrants from Libya, Egypt, Afghanistan, Algeria, Morocco, Palestine and Eritrea were arrested in northwestern Edirne province.
In Suleymanpasa district of northwestern Tekirdag province, 10 migrants were held while attempting to cross the border.
