Greece's photovoltaic capacity triples


(MENAFN) Greece recorded a significant boost in the capacity of its photovoltaic in 2018, to triple compared to 2017.

Hellenic Association of Photovoltaic Companies, as reported AMNA, confirmed the capacity of new photovoltaic power units to have stood at 41.1 MW last year, from 12.9 MW a year earlier and 5.4 MW in 2016.

Meanwhile, according to AMNA, total photovoltaic units capacity across Greece reached 2,665 MW.

It further added that Greece snatched the fourth place on an international scale when it comes to solar photovoltaic energy as it satisfied 7 percent of energy demand in the country.
