Kuwait, Greece eye closer cooperation


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, March 15 (KUNA) -- Means of promoting and developing bilateral economic cooperation, and cementing historical ties were the focus of a meeting held on Friday between Kuwaiti Finance Minister Nayef Al-Hajraf and Greek Deputy Prime Minister and Economy Minister Yannis Dragasakis in Athens.
Al-Hajraf also met with Greek Finance Minister Euclid Tsakalotos to discuss boosting bilateral ties between the two countries and the developments of financial reform in Greece, Kuwait's Ministry of Finance said in a press statement.
The Kuwaiti delegation, headed by Al-Hajraf, is visiting Greece to attend the meeting of the Kuwait-Greece ministerial committee for economic and technical cooperation that kicked off yesterday and concludes late today.
The two meetings were attended by Kuwait's Ambassador to Greece Saud Al-Dowaish, Assistant Undersecretary for Economic Affairs at the Ministry of Finance Nabil Al-Abdul Jalil and Assistant Foreign Minister for Economic Affairs Amal Al-Hamad .
Also Assistant Undersecretary for International Organizations and Foreign Trade Affairs at Ministry of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Nimr Al-Sabah and member of Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry Tareq Al-Mutawa were present. (end) khm.tb.hm
