Turkey launches airstrikes on PKK positions in N. Iraq
(MENAFN) On Tuesday, Turkish jets completely damaged ammunition depots and shelters of PKK terrorists in northern Iraq, Defense Ministry affirmed.
The air attacks hit PKK terror positions in the Zap region, the ministry tweeted on Twitter.
In its over 30-year terror campaign against Turkey, the PKK - recognized as a terrorist group by Turkey, the U.S. and the EU - has been responsible for the deaths of nearly 40,000 people, including women and children.
