Saudi- KSrelief Team Follows up Emergency Relief Project for Rohingya Refugees in Bangladesh

Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, Mar 7, 2019, SPA -- A team of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) has followed up the emergency relief project for Rohingya refugees in Cox's Bazar, Bangladesh, where the center's contribution is about $3 million in collaboration with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The KSrelief team, in collaboration with a number of volunteers, distributed basic shelter materials and household appliances among beneficiaries in order to address the emergency needs in the shelter for the Rohingya refugees. The team was also briefed on the mechanism of beneficiary selection and access to assistance and distribution points of the project.
The team also inspected the refugee camps in Cox's Bazar and listened to their needs and the most important problems and services provided to them by the center.
As part of the follow-up procedure, the delegation also visited the warehouses in Cox's Bazar.
The UNHCR representative thanked the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, represented by the KSrelief, for its continuous support for the UNHCR humanitarian and relief projects around the world.
This tour came within the permanent support provided by the government of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and HRH the Crown Prince for providing urgent assistance to the Rohingya refugees.
