Kazakhstan's president names new PM


(MENAFN) On Monday, Kazakhstan's president named Askar Mamin as country's new Prime Minister.

In a written statement, the Kazakh Presidency affirmed that President Nursultan Nazarbayev presented Mamin, 53, as the candidate for the post to the ratification of the politicians at a parliamentary session.

After the parliament approved Mamin's candidacy, Nazarbayev signed the decree proclaiming Mamin as the premier of Kazakhstan.

On Thursday, Nazarbayev rejected the government citing a lack of economic development.
