Greece: floods leave 4 uncounted for

(MENAFN) Greek national news agency AMNA revealed that 4 people have been uncounted for on early Sunday on Crete island and a search and rescue mission was ongoing, after torrential downpours triggered flooding majorly in rural areas.

A woman contacted the Fire Brigade that the car her husband was in, has been drifted away by waters of the overflowing Geropotamos river at the outskirts of Rethymno city on the northern part of the island.

She has been reported uncounted for, alongside her husband and parents.

On Saturday firemen had saved another woman from a similar incident.
