Saudi Arabia lifts Lebanon travel warning

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) BEIRUT, Feb 13 (KUNA) -- Saudi Arabia has lifted its travel warning for nationals planning to visit Lebanon, an official said on Wednesday.
The decision was reached after "assurances made by the Lebanese government over the stable security situation," ambassador Walid Bukhari said in a statement.
It comes after Saudi Royal Court envoy Nizar Al-Aloula met Lebanon's Prime Minister Saad Al-Hariri.
The warning, originally called for in 2017 by Riyadh and several other Gulf countries, was due to the "absence of security" in the country. (end) ayb.sd
