Sri Lanka- Rookantha Gunathilaka appointed UNP Dambadeniya organiser
(MENAFN- Colombo Gazette) Popular singer Rookantha Gunathilaka was today appointed as the Dambadeniya organiser of the United National Party (UNP).
He received his appointment letter from UNP leader, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Gunathilaka was among six new UNP electoral organisers who were appointed today.
Speaking at the event Wickremesinghe said that the new appointments are part of moves by the UNP to fill some vacant electoral organiser posts.
Wickremesinghe said that the UNP led United National Front is set to form a new broad alliance.
He said that the new alliance, the Democratic National Front, will ensure the freedom of the judiciary and establish a free society. (Colombo Gazette)
