Ise to host 1st round of Religious Dialogue between Iran, Japan


(MENAFN) On Saturday, the first round of Iran-Japan Religious Dialogue on 'Family Status in Islam and Shinto' was held in Ise, Japan.

Head of the Islamic Culture and Communication Organization (ICCO) of Iran Abuzar Ebrahimi Torkaman and a number of Japanese researchers and Islamologists were attending the meeting.

Torkaman informed the audience that such meetings are effective in assisting Iranian and Japanese countries have better vision of their cultural commonality.

He affirmed, 'With the goal of strengthening engagement and cultural relations between the two countries, I am pleased to participate today in the first round of Iranian-Japanese religious dialogue based on Islam and Shinto in the great country of Japan.'
