Myanmar's sea trade sees growth in current fiscal year
(MENAFN) Myanmar's marine trade stood at USD7.7 billion as of Jan. 25 in the current fiscal year 2018-2019 which started in October.
Its export through sea routes reached USD2.83 billion, while its import came to USD4.87 billion during the period from Oct. 1, 2018 to Jan. 25 this year.
Total maritime trade value increased USD237 million compared to the same period of the previous fiscal year 2017-2018.
Myanmar mainly exports agricultural products, animal products, fisheries, minerals and forest products while capital products, intermediate products and consumer products.
