2019 Economic Champion Award presented to The Center for Contemporary Art
(MENAFN- PRLog) The Center for Contemporary Art was the proud recipient of the 2019 Economic Champion Award at the 6th annual Somerset County Salute to Tourism Awards, part of the Somerset County Business Partnership, on January 18 at the Bridgewater Marriott. Adam Perle, President & CEO of ArtPride NJ, presented the award.
The Center was selected for the award because of its significant impact on Somerset County in the areas of employment, financial contributions, and community events and programs. This is the first time the award has been given to an arts organization or a non-profit organization.
"This award is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our board and staff to fulfill The Center's mission, 'To provide a vibrant, contemporary cultural center through arts education, exhibitions and community outreach that will inspire creativity and enhance people's lives.' It also supports the message that we in the arts community have been communicating for years about the significant economic impact of New Jersey arts organizations of all sizes," says Executive Director, Elie Porter Trubert.
