Thailand: 4 cabinet members step down to participate in general election


(MENAFN) Four members of the Thai cabinet tendered have stepped on Tuesday to participate in MP seats in the March 24 general election.

They delivered letters of resignation on Tuesday which will be implemented on Wednesday in order to contest the election under the tickets of Palang Pracharath Party.

They are predicted to run for electoral candidacy alongside others next Monday.

The recently established party is pitting Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha as its top candidate for post-election prime minister.
