Turkey targets USD182b in 2019 foreign sales


(MENAFN) Turkish foreign sales are targeted to stand at USD182 billion this year through new initiatives and policies.

Chairman of the Turkish Exporters' Assembly (TIM) Ismail Gulle unveiled the target on Tuesday while addressing an event.

According to the TIM chair, "we aim a Turkey that runs foreign trade surplus," affirming that "innovation and sustainability in exports will be our main guide this year."

Gulle further added that in 2018, Turkey reached USD55 billion in its foreign trade balance deficit to see a sharp recovery compared to 2017 when it hit USD75.8 billion.
