Oman to launch its third regional airport


(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) MUSCAT, Jan 2 (KUNA) -- Oman will officially launch its fourth regional airport on January 14, which is located 3,000 kilometers far from Muscat.
The total area of Duqm Airport is 27,386 square meters, with an area capacity of half million travelers annually, and the ability to expand to two million travelers annually.
It also includes a navigation compound, an air traffic control tower with the height of 38 meters, and an air cargo building at an area of 9,958 square meters, with an area capacity of 25 tons per year.
It also includes airplanes' runway with the length of four kilometers, and width of 75 meters, as well as airplanes passageways and parking, including a parking for the A380 airbus aircraft. (end) ahr.lb
