Qatar- Oryx GTL organises heritage ceremony


(MENAFN- Gulf Times) A heritage ceremony organised by Oryx GTL was attended by the executive management and a large number of employees.
The event at the Diplomatic Club began with the national anthem, followed by a video for the company's staff from more than 34 different nationalities.
The celebration featured a variety of heritage events and activities through which the company aimed to introduce the employees to the diverse cultures of Qatar.
A group of students from Qatar Primary School for Boys presented the Ardha Parade (folkloric dance), which impressed everyone. The Young Volunteer Centre also participated with Oryx GTL in the celebration.
The ceremony included an amazing show of the pearl diver singer 'Al-Nahham. Ali al-Marri impressed everyone with his melodious voice and masterful performance of various kinds of the art of pearl diver singing.
Qatar's elders sang these songs when they were on their fishing trips or pearl-diving excursions, it was pointed out.
The ceremony also included a series of competitions for the audience.
