Thailand deports 15 illegal Myanmar laborers


(MENAFN) The Information and Public Relations Department declared that 15 Myanmar illegal migrant laborers have been deported by the Thai authorities as the laborers' border passes have ended with no other official papers in possession.

The 15 Myanmar laborers have been sent to Myanmar's Tachileik authorities in eastern Shan state through the Myanmar-Thai Friendship Bridge-2 on Saturday.

As of Saturday, up to 1,200 Myanmar illegal migrant laborers with 353 women and 39 children among them, have been deported by the Thai authorities through the Tachileik-Mae Sai Friendship Bridge this year.

Meanwhile, in November, up to73 Myanmar nationals , trafficked to Thailand by dealers with illegal jobs, were deported by the Thai authorities to Myawaddy, a border town with Thailand in Kayin state.
