Jordan- Fighting corruption will continue: Minister

Amman, Dec.18 (Petra) -- Minister of State for Media Affairs and Government Spokesperson Jumana Ghunaimat, said arresting the primary suspect in the "tobacco case", Awni Mutee, was done thanks to His Majesty's efforts and directives, by which he instructed the government to address corruption.

Ghunaimat told JRTV on Tuesday evening that since the beginning of the case in July, there has been an official and public interest, to follow up on the "tobacco case", and how Mutee left the Kingdom.

Also, there was an interest and guidance from His Majesty the King to the government and concerned bodies, to follow up this case, the minister added.

Ghunaimat gave a detailed explanation of how Mutee was apprehended thanks to efforts made by the government and all security agencies.
