Two boar hunting accidents reported in India

A total of two separate accidents involving boar hunters were reported in India this past week. K Selvam, 40, was accidentally shot and killed at about 7 pm on November 23 when his friends fired at a wild boar in Kariakoil, Tamil Nadu, the Times of India reported.

The man was hunting with four friends in a forest when he died from shotgun pellet wounds. His four friends took his body, placed it in front of his house and fled. The victim's family called police and have registered a murder complaint against the four.

The four have since gone on the run and police have launched a manhunt for them.

In another case on November 25, Khetra Majhi was shot and killed by his uncle Tekera Majhi when they went boar hunting in the Biswanathpur forest, Pragativadi News reported. His body was taken for an autopsy and his uncle has been taken in for interrogation by police.
