Six million Passengers Travelled through Abu Dhabi International Airport in the Third Quarter of 2018


(MENAFN- Editorial) In the third quarter of 2018, around 6 million passengers used Abu Dhabi International Airport with 35,000 trips according to a report issued by the Department of Transport (DoT).
On the top of the list, India was ranked as the first with the most number of passengers who used Abu Dhabi International Airport with 1 million passengers in the third quarter of 2018, which is 16% of the total number of passengers. The United Kingdom came in the second place with 450,000 passengers as 7.5%. In the third place, is Australia with 350,000 passengers as 6%. Saudi Arabia and Pakistan came in fourth and fifth places respectively. From Saudi Arabia, 345,000 passengers (6%) used Abu Dhabi Airport and 300,000 passengers (5%) from Pakistan.
The Air Freight Sector transported 140,000 ton of different goods with 740 trips between Abu Dhabi and the world in line with the efforts that Abu Dhabi International Airport dedicates to improve its position as a regional center for freight transport.
Abu Dhabi International Airport is one of the fast-growing airports in the region because of the development of the Emirate to support diversifying the economic to maintain the sustainable development in Abu Dhabi.
