Sayyid Haitham unveils Oman's pavilion design for Expo 2020


(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- H H Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture, unveiled the design of sultanate's pavilion for Expo 2020 under the theme, 'Oman - Chances Throughout Ages' on Sunday. Sayyid Haitham who is also the head of the Main Ministerial Committee in-charge of preparing for the sultanate's participation at Expo 2020 said that the design is in keeping with country's master plan of the pavilion.

The event, to be hosted by Dubai will be held from October 20, 2020, till April 10, 2021. The design was selected and approved by the main ministerial committee in its last meeting. Sayyid Haitham said that the selection came in line with the approach of the organising committee for the expo.

The master plan for the pavilions will have Arab and Islamic architectural engineering and utilise Omani architectural motifs in a modern style.
