Egypt, Sudan agree to set up linking railway

(MENAFN) Egypt was confirmed to have reached an agreement with Sudan for the construction of a railway line that connects both countries.
Khartoum received an Egyptian delegation of the railway authority in order to address the plan with Sudan's transport Ministry officials, MENA reported.
The railway line is to link the two countries from the Egyptian southern city of Aswan to the Sudanese northern town of Abu Hamad.
The railway is assured to ease the travel of passengers and products between both countries, as stated leader of the Egyptian delegation Mohamed Fuad Salit.
