Myanmar: plant blaze costs USD 53,000 damages

(MENAFN) The official Global New Light of Myanmar declared that a private plastic plant blaze, which took place in Myanmar's Yangon, has left damages of at least USD 53,000.

The blaze, which lasted for one hour, has devastated a steel structure building and 500 bags of plastic pellet at Shwelinban Industrial Zone in Hlaingtharya town.

A driver of the plant has turned an electric pot on in order to boil water however, he forgot to turn it off.

The Fire Service Department confirmed that all of the major switches were turned off after work hours, however, those switches were on in the following morning, surging the heat levels of the electric pot and triggering the blaze to expand to nearby chemicals and plastic pellets.
