Sri Lanka considered to host Miss World contest in 2020 or 2021


(MENAFN- NewsIn.Asia) Colombo, Oct 2 (newsin.asia) - The Miss World Organisation is looking at the possibility of selecting Sri Lanka as the host nation for the Miss World Contest 2020 or 2021, the Tourism Ministry said here in a statement Tuesday.

A high profile delegation from the Organisation including reigning Miss World Manushi Chhillar, arrived in Sri Lanka on Sunday to hold talks with the necessary officials and on an exploration visit of the island country.

On Monday, they met Tourism Minister John Amaratunga and Chairman of the Sri Lanka Tourism Promotion Bureau, Dehan Seneviratne.

The high profile delegation include Chairperson of the Miss World Organisation, Julia Evelyn Morley, Reigning Miss World, Manushi Chhillar, Miss World 2016 and Miss World Brand Ambassador, Stephanie Marie Del Valle Diaz.
