Libyan Group for Peace begins reconciliation plan
(MENAFN) Tunisia-based Libyan Group for Peace uncovered on Thursday its plan to reach political reconciliation in Libya.
People involved in Tobruk-based strongman Khalifa Haftar are among members of the independent movement, along with representatives from Libya's main rival camps.
One of the members, Ashour al-Arifi, stated "the best solution to the Libyan crisis is some kind of national authority that represents all segments of the Libyan people."
Al-Arifi added "and this authority should implement a genuine national project - which the Libyan people can rally around - aimed at achieving comprehensive national reconciliation."
