Islamabad and Beijing reached an agreement on CPEC extension to the war-torn country during Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi€™s recent visit to Pakistan.

China€™s top diplomat visited Pakistan from September 7 to 9 and held talks with leaders of the new government including Foreign Ministry Shah Mahmood Qureshi and Prime Minister Imran Khan.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Geng Shuang told a media briefing in Beijing the two sides had agreed on westward expansion of CPEC to enable more people to benefit from the project.
