Doha attends 1st World Administrative Cities Association
DOHA: Doha City participated in the ‘Inaugural Congress of World Administrative Cities Association (WACA)' in Ankara, Turkey.
The aim of the conference was to form the first international association between the world's administrative cities, whether those already built or still under the stages of construction and expansion. It is to share knowledge and experience on planning, building, expansion and maintenance of administrative cities.
The conference discussed the theme of 'Solidarity and Prosperity Among the World Administrative Cities in the context of three main axes, including Smart Administrative Cities , Urban Regeneration and Best Practices for Administrative Cities.
Director of Doha Municipality, Eng. Jamal Matar Al Nuaimi gave a presentation on the urban development witnessed by Doha according to the best international practices and using the best modern and scientific technologies.
Al Nuaimi also reviewed the development of Qatar in the fields of urban in all its forms, such as education, health, culture, sports, roads and infrastructure, which were implemented in a record time. The Qatari delegation discussed with the participating delegations the exchange of experience and ways of future cooperation and other related matters.
