Kuwait Airways to operate additional flight from Beirut Sunday: DGCA
(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) KUWAIT, Sep 2 (KUNA) -- The Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) announced Sunday it would operate additional flights from Beirut Airport to bring back Kuwaiti citizens whose returning flights on Wataneya Airways were cancelled.
Flight KU 5506, sent at the request of the government in coordination with Kuwait Airways, and would fly at 22:50 p.m. local-time Sunday, DGCA said in a statement.
It urged citizens to contact Kuwait embassy in Beirut to arrange their return on the following number: (0096176700080) or (0096171171441).
Minister of State for Housing and Minister of State for Services Jenan Bushehri said last week His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Jaber Mubarak Al-Hamad Al-Sabah instructed the Foreign Ministry and DGCA to bring back Kuwaitis stranded after cancellation of flights on Wataneya Airways.
According to the instructions of His Highness the Deputy Amir and Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Kuwait foreign Ministry coordinated with embassies and consulates abroad to bring back a citizen who their flights on Wataneya Airways were cancelled.
