RESEARCHERS UNEARTH 'ANCIENT MASK' OF KING PAKAL. A sculpture of ancient Mayan king known as K'inich Janaab' Pakal is being displayed at a Maya Temple in Palenque, Mexico, on August 26, 2018. The mask unearthed in Palenque is believed to be the first ever relic found that depicts the mighty ruler, Pakal El Grande.
