Netanyahu, Putin to discuss Iran presence in Syria
(MENAFN) Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is set for a visit to Moscow within this week for talks with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the Iranian presence in Syria.
Israel "will not tolerate a military establishment of Iran and its proxies in any area of Syria," Prime Minister Netanyahu said during the opening his weekly cabinet meeting.
Netanyahu confirmed that he will also "demand that Syria, as well as the Syrian army, strictly observe the disengagement agreement."
The statement has been in reference to the ceasefire deal signed between Israel and Syria in the 1973 Arab-Israeli War.
