Israeli fire kills Palestinian child, wounds hundreds others in Gaza

(MENAFN- Kuwait News Agency (KUNA)) RAMALLAH, June 29 (KUNA) -- A Palestinian child was killed on Friday and hundreds others injured by the Israeli occupation forces' fire during the Great March of Return near the border fence in the Gaza Strip, Palestinian Health Ministry said.
The 13-year-old unidentified child was martyred after he was shot at head in eastern Khan Younis, the ministry added in a statement.
Some 310 people were wounded, 133 of them were admitted to hospitals, the statement noted, revealing that three cases are in serious condition.
The Israeli forces fired live ammunition and tear gas bombs at peaceful gatherings of Palestinians to disperse them along the Gaza Strip borders.
The march started today under the slogan of "the Friday of Gaza and the West Bank is one blood and a common destiny." Palestinians have been staging the peaceful march since March 30 to stress that they have the right to come back to their homes they had to leave many years ago. (end) nq.hm
