Lebanon: policewomen patrol streets in mini shorts to attract tourists

(MENAFN) At the aim of attracting tourists and boost the country's existing image, the mayor of Broummana town of Lebanon has introduced policewomen patrolling the streets in black mini shorts and red berets.

According to the mayor Pierre Achkar, "It is all a part of the mayor's plan to attract tourists and improve the country's image," adding that nearly ninety-nine per cent of the tourists in this region wear shorts.

While some are complimenting the policewomen as the 'beautiful officer'' others are complaining it to be unethical to lure tourists using beautiful policewomen.

Another policewoman said, "We came willingly to this work and we have accepted it with enthusiasm and we still hope that it will return in every summer season."
