Oman- Municipality looks to redevelop Wattayah area

(MENAFN- Muscat Daily) Muscat- Muscat Municipality has held a meeting with plot owners in the Wattayah commercial area to look at aspects of redevelopment.

During the meeting, Parsons International for Engineering Consultancy gave a visual presentation on developing the surrounding urban areas, stated a press release.

The presentation explained in detail the various technical aspects involved and public response to such projects. Some of the redevelopment ideas included renovation of entrance and exit of roads and corridors; providing aesthetic touches to the area; installation of a number of utilities and other services needed in keeping with the urban character of the city.

Such facilities will not only benefit the commercial enterprises in the area, but also impress visitors to the area, the release stated.

During the meeting the owners and officials discussed various aspects of redevelopment and agreed to form a joint working group.
