Qatar Beach Volleyball team advances in world ranking

Doha: Qatar beach volleyball team, made up of the duo Sharif Younis and Ahmed Tijan, has advanced in the FIVB World Ranking for June, rising to the 19th place with 2780 points from the 21st place last month.

The classification is good considering that the assessment came from their participation in 9 global rounds.

Meanwhile, the duo Sharif Younis and Ahmed Tijan of Qatar beach volleyball team will start Tuesday their competitions in the Ostrava Beach Open in The Czech Republic.

The event is part of the FIVB Beach Volleyball World Tour which includes eight tours launched in The Hague in the Netherlands, while Doha hosted the second tour in March this year and will conclude in Moscow which will host the eighth tour from August 8 to 12.

The Qatari team made many achievements in the recent period, most notably winning the bronze medal of Katara Beach Volleyball Championship which is ranked one of the biggest tournaments with four stars rating.
