Qatar- QICDRC's judicial system praised

DOHA: The Qatar International Court and Dispute Resolution Centre (QICDRC) received a delegation from the Sri Lankan Surveyors Association in Qatar.

The members of the delegation were briefed about Qatar Financial Centre and its bodies, where the court was established as one of the centre's bodies to promote and attract international financial investments to Qatar.

Moreover, the delegation received a detailed brief on Qatar's successful attempt to establish a specialised judiciary through the establishment of the Qatar International Court, the first specialised court in the state that deals with commercial and investment disputes arising from the transactions of international financial companies which operate through Qatar Financial Center.

The delegation also reviewed the jurisdiction of the tribunal regulatory and the civil & commercial court, the cases both of the courts deal with, its procedures and how the judgments are being issued.

Following the discussion, the delegation toured the QICDRC's facilities and was given a tour in the court room. The Court's facilities are equipped with advanced and sophisticated systems, electronic case management system and other services, all of which contribute to ensuring speedy settlement of disputes and litigation before the Court.

The delegation praised the QICDRC's judicial system which is characterised by rapid litigation procedures, which contributes to resolving any dispute in a short time using the latest technologies to achieving justice is a leap.
